If one stick a day makes a smoker, ignoramus is not. He smokes few cigarettes. Charminar was once very popular brand. Two of his colleagues still smoke these cigarettes. Ignoramus some times begs, some times they offer out of generosity. Usually Ignoramus smokes Filter Wills cigarettes. Now he decided to try other brands too.
In Kolkata single sticks are sold. So tasting of different brands is possible for non smokers. Day before yesterday he puffed a Gold Flake king size and yesterday one Classic king size stick was burnt. He did smoke 555 and Rothmans. Aren’t those lighter than Filter Wills? He must admit those are very smooth and consistent. Filter Wills and upwards (price wise) brands have their aroma, though he admits not often he could distinguish. Forgot to tell, Ignoramus occasionally enjoy one or two puff of Birri, hand made paperless smoking stick.
If smoke is injurious to health why this big industry is not stopped? Bomb and gun making businesses are not stopped either. Not that state like big businesses alone do it, homemade bombs in Iraq are killing more people than ‘imperialist’ USA could do. Tobacco business is very old. Is there any reference in Jared Diamond’s books? Ignoramus shall try to find out why Ignoramus smokes though infrequently in his next post.
